What Is The Appropriate Thing To Do When A Golf Ball Hits Your House?
We live on a golf course and frequently find golf balls around. if a ball lands in the yard i usually just leave it until later, but what should i do when a ball hits the house and scares me half to death? they can be loud and the first thing i want to do is go out and check for damage. i 'm just not sure how to respond (w/ o using expletives!) when the golfers drive up. i even had a guy ask for his ball back once! i figure a golf ball that hits my house should be mine to keep!ok - our house backs up to a golf course. i know we are taking a risk and replacing windows etc. does get expensive. if you are a bad enough golfer to hit my house and possibly break something - even almost my child once - i will not give you the ball back! that is the cost of the sport just like replacing broken windows is the cost of living near a golf course! So i 'm a junior in highschool and i 've always dreamed of playin college golf. i 've played on my highschool varsity team all 3 years so far and i 've done fairly well making it into first team all league 3 times and finishing in the top 4 for the past 2 years. i shoot an average of 80-85. although, i 've only played in local tourneys for the most part and i 'm starting to get a little nervous about college. i 'm planning on playing in as many big name tournaments as i can this summer but i 'm not sure if that will b enough for coaches to look at. :( im definetly thinking more of division 2 schools because i know most d1 schools are very competitive and i would most likley not be good enough for them. so what exactly are my chances getting coaches look at me and accept me? and what else can i do to make my chances greater? thanks :) (Read answers)

Do Golf Ranges Adjust Yard Markers For Restricted Flight Golf Balls?
Many golf ranges, and just about all of them around me, use "restricted flight balls " aka range balls. which obviously fly a shorter distance. but i am wondering, are the yard markers in the fields usually moved closer to compensate for this percentage of flight loss? for example, if a range uses 80% flight balls, are the yard markers moved in 20% of their yard marking to compensate for the restricted flight balls and give users hitting an accurate portrayal of how far they are hitting there clubs?i ask because someone such as me, who is still new and learning the game of golf, needs to know how far ( to as close as precise as possible) that i am hitting my clubs. i need that repetition, practice, and accurate range yard markings in relation to the ball.so i am just wondering if it is standard practice in the golf world to adjust the yard markers at a golf range in relation to the percentage of lost flight on the range balls used.if anyone knows, thanks! Golf Strong Grip Question?
As strong grip in driver, as lefty golfer, my right arm is twisted cos the strong grip, when i hit the ball my of course my right arm can 't be twisted so when my grip become normal when i hit the ball, but i started from twisted arm(strong grip) so when my arm become normal my driver 's contact face will be down so i hit the ball on back of my driver. well, if you understand what i meant please give me some helplet me make it clear more, my ball went super high but only 100 yards cos i hit the black part of my driver but the clubface. cos i strong grip the driver so when i set up my right arm twisted so my club face could face the ball. but when i start to swing and in the moment to hit the ball. my both arms are not twisted, in this moment, the clubface is down, very down so i hit the ball on the black part of driver (Read answers)

Golfing 30s For 9 70s For 18?
So i used to love golf when i was a teenager and i played most days in the summer. and played on the golf team in high school and improved greatly since when i started almost shooting in the 30s 2 or 3 times. but after high school i only played once in a while occasionally shooting low 40s. im 26 now im a tall person and im wondering how much effort i need to put in to shoot in the 30/ 70s. i recently started playing the game alot more. the courses down here in fla are tougher as well with slope rating 120 plus usually and my home course 108. so im usually stuck shooting in the 90s for 18 or high 40s for 9 and its frustrating. shot 103 today but on bermuda grass but thats another story lol. Recommendations For Myrtle Beach Golfing?
My golf buddies and i are looking at heading down to myrtle beach (sc) for a golf getway at the end of our regular golfing season, which will be around october. with over 90 golf courses to choose from in the myrtle beach area, it makes for a challenge to select a few that we should consider playing. what i would like to know are two things:we are a foursome with most of us playing in the 95-105 range on a par 72 course. we want something that does not try to cram in loads of golfers and keep telling you to hurry up. we are not necessarily slow, but if the course has mainly scratch golfers and we have 20+ handicaps, we don 't want to annoy and upset them.the other thing is if there are recommendations for a hotel or condo in the area that is clean and not too expensive. if you have any personal experiences with these places (good or bad), that would be appreciated.
